*Please note: we will need you to email us your 3 photos or graphics for us to print and laminate on your lantern panels! We will work with you on this process and email you back mock-ups of what the finished product will look like before we print it on our washi paper and laminate it on your lanterns' acrylic panels!

Send us your own photos for a customized lantern that is uniquely yours!

How It works:

1.) Check out with your personalized lantern. And select the photo style you want your finished lantern to include. Our custom watercolor filter has been specifically designed to look the nicest and brightest on our lanterns. However, you can edit the photo the way you want, and we can print it as-is as well!

2.) Send us an email with your order number and any 3 images to connor@torolanterns.com.

3.) We will confirm with you and send you examples or mock-ups of your panels.

4.) Once you confirm that they look good, we will put the images in for printing and lamination, build your lantern, and get it shipped out to you!

As long as you are checking your email, the whole process takes 2-5 days-or-so, and we are happy to work with you to make sure you love the way your lantern looks! If you are not happy with the mock-ups, we can cancel your order for no cost as well.

A few things to keep in mind for the nicest looking photos:

The panels are a 5" x 5" square (just under 13cm x 13cm), and the edge 1/4"-or-so is often obstructed by the lantern frame.

Therefore, make sure your photos are square with the subject in or near the center. We will happily crop them to a square using our best judgement as well and send you the mock-up before we put it in for printing and lamination.

Toro Lanterns was designed with watercolor art in mind, and our custom watercolor filter was built specifically for photos of pets, people and landscapes to look bright and amazing on our lanterns. If you want us to print your photos as-is, here are some tips:

Having a photo backlit as the lantern does, will appear to reduce the contrast and saturation significantly. If you print a photo on paper and hold it up to a light bulb, you will see what we mean. For this reason, increasing the contrast (by maybe 50-70%), making the blacks as dark as possible and increasing the vibrance or saturation (by maybe 50-100%, depending on the photo) will look best!

We are happy to help you make your photos look the best, and we will send you some examples or mock-ups before we construct your lantern!
